Jakarta Provincial Government is inventorying the buildings impacted by Krukut river normalization. The normalization is need to be accelerated due to many buildings standing along the riverbank.
We have no choice except controlling the buildings
Jakarta Governor, Basuki T. Purnama, said no other ways overcoming flood in Kemang except with normalization. Normalization is needed since the river width now becomes 4-7 meters from initiate width 20-25 meters.
“We have no choice except controlling the buildings,” he said, Monday (9/26).
October 2016, Krukut River NormalizedBasuki admitted has owned proof of previous river condition. Based on this data, his side will make the area like previous condition.
His side will also check the building ownership. For those who have no certificate will be relocated. And for those who have certificate, the building will be bought.
As planned before, the normalization is slated in October.
